The power of PROFILE:MATCH® is that it generates competency ratings that have the measurement characteristics of a psychometric test. Originally, PROFILE:MATCH® reports were hand-drafted by experienced personality psychologists using explicit mathematical algorithms for each competency. Based on identical technology, PROFILE:MATCH® delivers the same professional expertise, but with even greater precision and consistency – and at a fraction of the cost.
In the year prior to publication, the algorithmic approach underpinning PROFILE:MATCH® was tested during an HMCE talent management initiative involving more than 3,000 test administrations. This generated the data needed to verify the measurement characteristics of the system, the coherence and reliability of the emergent competency ratings and the relationship of these ratings with performance.
